This past summer I had the privilege to work for SpaceX's Starship Launch Hardware team in the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. I worked on developing the Starship Launch Mount and the commodity infrastructure within it. I also had the change to learn lots about SpaceX CAD, drawing, and welding practice, as well as aiding in a few other designs for adjacent projects like the Starship Launch Tower
Skills Developed
Industry CAD: High level assembly and design practices on SEIMENS NX.
Analysis: Structure analysis on ANSYS Mechanical
Drawings: ASME Y14.5 compliant engineering assembly, part, and welding drawings
Workplace Communication: Collaborating with multiple teams across different locations (one of the highest reviewed interns in recent history)
